HAPPY NEW YEAR CHURCH FAMILY! I pray that you will experience the power of the gospel and the grace of our Lord to a greater depth than ever before in your life in this New Year. I pray that God will bless you in abundance in accordance with His love and grace! Thank you for the privilege of serving you as your pastor as we begin another new year together! I am extremely excited about the year 2020 and the opportunities this year holds for our kingdom mission and ministry. There are more things on my heart than I can possibly cover in this one article, but I do want to highlight just a few things that are on the im- mediate horizon for us.
ON SUNDAY, JANUARY 5th I want to share with you a message that I’ve titled “2020 PERSPECTIVES.” In this message that God has given me, I will share with you my vision for our ministry/mission as we con- tinue to Live to Love – Love God Supremely; Love People Unconditionally. I hope you will make a special effort to be present for the first Sunday of the New Year so we can start the year off in the right way and all together as we express our love for the Lord Jesus in corporate family worship.
ALSO COMING IN JANUARY WE WILL BE OFFERING FOR THE FIRST TIME in several years Dave Ramsey’s FINANCIAL PEACE UNIVERSITY. If you have never taken this course, I really encourage you to register for it right away. Perhaps you have taken it in the past and want to retake it as a refresher. Either way it be of great benefit to you. You can call the church office for more information about the course. Justin and Emily Vaughn will be facilitating the course. There are other opportunities I will be sharing with you very soon.
I ENCOURAGE YOU TO DO YOUR BEST to not miss a Sunday so as not to miss a single blessing God has in store for us this year! If you have been away from the church fellowship for a time, then please accept this invitation to rejoin us. I understand that sometimes circumstances cause us to simply get out of the habit of making Sunday Bible Study and worship a priority in our schedules. I believe that being together with God’s people on a regular basis is vitally essential to a healthy spiritual life and growth in our walk with Jesus. So, please come on back. We need you here!
ALSO, CHURCH, PLEASE PRAY THAT WE WILL BE A CHURCH that God can use to make a real difference in this community and around the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ! Pray seeking how God would have you invest yourself in ministry and service this year! Jesus said it well in His day and the truth remains ...
“the harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.” (Matthew 9:37)
In 2020, let’s EXPECT GREAT THINGS church because we know we serve a GREAT GOD! May God bless you! See you on Sunday!
