OTBC staff statement regarding the Covid-19 Virus

We are a family here at Old Town Baptist Church.  All families experience good times and bad times together and the same is true with our church family.  As our world continues to deal with the COVID-19 virus, we want to reassure you that our church family is top priority. Our staff is communicating regularly, and we are taking necessary precautions to avoid and lessen the impact of the virus here in our area.

We realize that family members react differently to the same situation, so please keep that in mind.  Even if you are not personally concerned about COVID-19, please understand that other members of your church family are concerned.  We must remember to love each other well and give grace and understanding to each other in the coming days.

Here is some information and suggestions that we wanted to make you aware of.

Since information is changing by the minute, our staff is closely monitoring the situation.

We will alert the congregation via email and through social media.  Any updates will also be available on our homepage otbclife.org

While our church is cleaned regularly, we are also taking extra precautions.

- We have sanitizer stations around the church and we encourage you to use them frequently.

-In our Kidztown areas, we will continue to thoroughly sanitize the toys and play areas.

-We encourage parents to use our “Mobile Check-In” when signing your child in for Sunday School, nursery, or Awana.  For instructions please visit: https://www.kidcheck.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/Express-Check_In-Parent-Instructions_QR-Code.pdf

If you or your family are sick, please stay home.  You can still worship with us by watching the livestream Simply visit otbclife.org and click on “live stream”.

If you are unable to attend in person, we want to invite you to sign up for online giving.  Simply visit otbclife.org and click on the “online giving” tab on the first page.  Our ministries here at Old Town will continue even if it becomes necessary for us to change our schedule for a time.

Most importantly, please remember to pray for each other and for our world.  During this time when many are experiencing great fear, we can shine the love of Jesus so brightly.  Let us always keep that as our highest priority.

Yours and His,
